Home Base Program Support Services

Program Description

The Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program provides clinical care and support services to service members, veterans, and family members throughout New England, who are affected by combat or deployment-related stress and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Services

  • Individual counseling for service members, veterans, adult family members, and children.
  • Couples therapy for post traumatic stress (PTSD).
  • Support groups.
  • Complementary approaches, like relaxation therapy and breathing techniques, to help many veterans manage combat stress symptoms.
  • Family education, consultation, and referral to community services.

Eligibility

  • Veterans, families, and other loved ones throughout New England.
  • All veterans regardless of their time of service or discharge status.
  • All branches of service including the National Guard and Reserve.
  • Family support throughout the deployment cycle.
  • Though the Home Base Program focuses outreach on veterans who served in Iraq or Afghanistan, no veteran is turned away.
  • Payment is not a barrier.
