RIPIN Military Family Support Services

Program Description

The RI Parent Information Network provides information and support to families, with particular focus on education and special needs issues. The Military Family Support Services program gives access to RIPIN's services through RIPIN staff with military experience and knowledge of local military support resources.

Services

  • Resource and referral center for connections to support programs statewide, including childcare, social services, and healthcare resources.
  • Trainings and workshops to help parents advocate for their families and navigate resources, in areas such as healthcare and special education.
  • Assistance from parent mentors trained to support families of children with disabilities.

Eligibility

  • Active duty, retired military, veterans, and National Guard and Reserve personnel, including those who have a family member with a disability or special needs.
