Program Description

The Department of Defense (DoD) Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program, developed in 2006, it is responsible for oversight of the Department's sexual assault policy. SAPR works hand-in-hand with the Services and the civilian community to develop and implement innovative prevention and response programs. It serves as the single point of authority for program accountability and oversight, in order to enable military readiness and reduce -- with a goal to eliminate -- sexual assault from the military.
