Trauma, Addiction, Mental Health, and Recovery

Program Description

Trauma, Addiction, Mental Health, and Recovery (TAMAR) is a group trauma treatment program. This is a treatment component of the Veterans Treatment Court/ASTR program, but veterans can attend TAMAR even if they are not justice-involved.


  • 12-week (90 minutes/week) trauma-informed group treatment.
  • Groups are typically divided with combat veterans together, women together, and male non-combat veterans and civilian men together.


  • A trauma-related diagnosis.

How To Apply

  • To apply, first call the Kent Center Intake (401-732-5656) to provide basic demographic information. Then an assessment will be scheduled to complete the paperwork, get a diagnosis and verify the person is eligible and can benefit from the group.
