Veteran Angler Charters

Program Description

Veteran Angler Charters is a non-profit organization offering no-cost charter fishing trips to disabled veterans of all branches of the armed forces. These trips provide our troops with recreational rehabilitation and therapeutic support.

  • Trips last 4-6 hours.
  • All fishing gear is provided.
  • Veterans should bring their own food and drink.

  • Active duty military members or honorably discharged veterans with service-connected disabilities.

How To Apply

  • Veterans' organizations and programs should email VA Charters to schedule a trip. The contact person for a group should be a counselor, mentor, or health care provider who will also attend the trip. (This requirement may be waived at the captain's discretion.)
  • Participants will need to sign a liability waiver and a document to verify their discharge status.
  • Contact Kathy Granfield with general program questions. To schedule a RI trip, contact Captain Randy Bagwell and copy Kathy Granfield.
